Board of Directors
Joshua L. Steiner, is a senior adviser at Bloomberg, L.P., where he was previously Head of Industry Verticals. Prior to joining Bloomberg, Mr. Steiner co-founded and was co-president of Quadrangle Group, LLC, a private equity and asset management firm. Before co-founding Quadrangle, he was a Managing Director at Lazard Frères & Co. LLC. From 1993 to 1995 he served as Chief of Staff for the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
He currently serves on the boards of Yale University, the SNF Agora Institute at Johns Hopkins University and The International Rescue Committee. He is an honorary trustee of the New York Public Library, where he was previously the vice-chair of the board. Mr. Steiner received a B.A. in history from Yale and an M.St. in Modern History from Oxford University.
Mikael Andren is the Chief Executive Officer and President of Paul Tudor Jones II Family Office and related entities. The Family office works closely with its principals in managing the Family’s investments, real estate and philanthropic activities. Mr. Andren is deeply involved in philanthropy and currently serves on the boards of StudentsFirstNY, the Sonima Foundation and the Singita Grumeti Fund.
Mr. Andren attended the University of Wisconsin where he received his undergraduate degree in accounting. He completed his education through an MBA from Columbia University.
Murray A. Rabinowitz is the Chief Investment Officer of Brooklyn NY Holdings LLC, a private investment firm. Mr. Rabinowitz received an AB in Biochemical Sciences from Harvard College and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is a CFA charterholder.
Hank Slack has over 40 years of experience in the natural resources business. Mr. Slack was concurrently the Chief Executive Officer of Minorco SA, formerly one of the world’s leading operating resources groups; a director and member of the Executive Committee of Anglo American Corporation; and Chairman of Terra Industries , an international nitrogen-based fertilizer company.
Mr. Slack is also Chairman of Alico, Inc., a Florida-based citrus and sugar company, and a member of Investment Committees of E. Oppenheimer & Son Limited, the global investment company for the South African based family. Mr. Slack received a B.A. from Princeton University in 1972.
Heath L. Watkin is the President and Chief Investment Officer at TRB Advisors LP. Previously, Mr. Watkin was a Managing Director at Atticus Capital, where he focused on special situations and deep value investments. Mr. Watkin is a member of the Board of Directors at Talcott Resolution Life Insurance Company and Castleton Commodities International LLC.
Mr. Watkin holds a B.S.E. degree in engineering and finance from Princeton University. He received his M.B.A. with high distinction as a Baker Scholar from the Harvard Business School.
Mr. Reed is the President and CEO of CCI. He joined Louis Dreyfus Highbridge Energy in September 2007 and was appointed CEO in October 2008. In 2012, he executed the buyout of LDHE, forming CCI. Previously, Mr. Reed was founding partner and head of trading at Saracen Energy Advisors, where he was one of four partners responsible for establishing the fund that grew from $30 million to $1.4 billion at the time of his departure.
Mr. Reed served in the U.S. Army 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment and currently serves on the board of the Night Stalker Foundation. Mr. Reed earned an M.B.A. with a concentration in finance and accounting from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and a B.S., summa cum laude, in mathematics and economics from the University of Pittsburgh.
Glenn Dubin is the Principal of Dubin & Co., a private investment company based in New York. Mr. Dubin co-founded Highbridge Capital Management LLC, an alternative asset management company in 1992. In 2009, Highbridge was acquired by JP Morgan Asset Management, and Mr. Dubin remained at the helm to oversee the transition – a transition considered by many to be an example of a model succession plan.
In 2012, Mr. Dubin, along with a prominent group of investors, acquired Castleton Commodities International LLC (“CCI”) a global merchant energy company active in the physical and financial commodity markets and infrastructure investing. The company ranks as one of the world’s leading independent energy merchants. Mr. Dubin is a member of the Board of Directors and the lead shareholder of the company. Mr. Dubin has been a Board member since the formation of CCI’s predecessor company (Louis Dreyfus Highbridge Energy) in 2006, and previously served as Chairman.
In 2013, Mr. Dubin stepped down as Chairman and CEO of Highbridge to focus on Dubin & Co. and the founding of Engineers Gate LP, a proprietary quantitative trading company.
Mr. Dubin is a founder and former Board chair of the Robin Hood Foundation, a philanthropic organization in New York that applies investment principles to charitable giving. He is a Board member of Mount Sinai Medical Center and the Museum of Modern Art, and is a member of the Dean’s Executive Committee of the Harvard Kennedy School.
Eric Ruttenberg is the Co-Managing Partner of Tinicum Incorporated, an investment firm founded to manage the holdings of the Ruttenberg family as well as manage outside capital. He was a Founder of Farallon Partners in 1986, a global institutional asset management firm.
Mr. Ruttenberg is currently on the board of Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing, Doduco GmbH, Flat Rock Energy, and Penn Engineering and Manufacturing Corp. He is also a Trustee of St. Bernard’s School, Mt. Sinai Medical Center and St. Paul’s School. Mr. Ruttenberg has a B.A. from Hampshire College.
Jacques Veyrat is Chairman and CEO of Impala, a group active in energy, asset management, manufacturing, and consumer brands. In the energy sector, Impala is the main shareholder of Neoen (Renewables) and Direct Energie (energy distribution). Prior to founding Impala in 2011, Mr. Veyrat spent 16 years in senior management positions in the Louis Dreyfus Group as group Chairman and CEO (2008-2011), founder and CEO of the telecommunications division (1998-2008) and CEO of the shipping division.
Prior to joining Louis Dreyfus, Mr. Veyrat spent 7 years in senior roles at the French treasury and in ministry cabinets. Mr. Veyrat is an engineer who graduated from Ecole Polytechnique and Corps des Ponts et Chaussées.
Ms. Weldon is the Global Head of ESG and Impact Investing at Partners Capital. She joined in February 2021 to further integrate ESG criteria into the investment decision making of the firm and establish a best in class impact investment platform. Ms. Weldon was most recently a member of the Executive Group at Louis Dreyfus Company, leading the Food Innovation & Downstream Strategy. Ms. Weldon joined the company in 2019 after 13 years at Blackstone, where she held several positions of increasing responsibility, lastly as Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of the London office for Blackstone Alternative Asset Management. Ms. Weldon was also Head of the Commodity Strategy and was involved in portfolio management as well as hedge fund manager evaluation, selection and monitoring. Prior to Blackstone, she worked in commodity and interest rate derivatives at JPMorgan in London and New York. Ms. Weldon also served as Founding Board Member of 100 Women in Finance Ltd. between 2007 and 2017.
In addition to a Sloan Fellowship Master’s degree in Leadership and Strategy from London Business School, she holds a degree in Finance & International Business from Georgetown University (US), UK and US securities regulatory FCA qualifications, and has received several awards over the years recognizing leading women in finance. Ms. Weldon is currently an independent Non-Executive Director of Carr’s Group plc, an LSE listed agriculture and engineering group.

Mr. Bunkin is the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of CCI. Prior to joining CCI, Mr. Bunkin spent 18 years at Goldman Sachs, most recently as Managing Director and Associate General Counsel to the firm’s Global Commodities Business. Prior to that, he spent four years as Vice President and Associate General Counsel at J.P. Morgan supporting their Futures and Commodities businesses. Before entering the trading business, Mr. Bunkin was an attorney in the General Practice group at Sullivan & Cromwell.
Mr. Bunkin holds a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and a B.A. in History from Emory University.
Mr. Eapen is Head of Origination and Structured Transactions for CCI based in London, focused on providing cross commodity financing solutions across the capital structure to assist counterparties in raising liquidity for projects or at the corporate level. Prior to joining CCI in 2016, Mr. Eapen was with J.P. Morgan’s global commodities business, responsible for sales and origination in South and South East Asia. Mr. Eapen has over 20 years of Banking & Financial Markets experience in the Middle East & Asia.
Mr. Eapen received an MBA in Finance and a Graduate Degree in Chemical Engineering, both from the University of Mumbai, India.
Ms. Haymond is Global Head of Talent Strategy and leads CCI’s Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Performance Management, and Employee Relations functions. Since joining CCI in 2010, Ms. Haymond has held various positions including Global Head of Talent Management and Head of Talent Acquisition. Prior to CCI, Ms. Haymond served as Director of Human Resources at Virtusa Corporation, and as a Recruiter and HR Generalist at the Blackstone Group. Ms. Haymond began her career at a boutique search firm and as a recruiter at Banc of America Securities.
Ms. Haymond holds a B.A. in Political Science and Economics from the University of Vermont.
Mr. Jarchow is President and CEO of Castleton Resources LLC. He has worked in the Upstream field for over 25 years, having held operational and management roles at Amoco and Apache, and partner-level roles in private equity at both First Reserve and Pine Brook Road Partners. Mr. Jarchow holds a B.A. in Geology from the University of Santa Barbara, California, and M.S. and Ph.D. in Geophysics from Stanford University, and an M.B.A. from MIT. He is a Fellow of the Geological Society of America.
Mr. Pilo is Managing Director and Co-Head of Power Principal Investments. Mr. Pilo has 14 years of energy investing experience and is based in CCI's London office where he is responsible for CCI’s European Power Investment activity. Prior to joining CCI, Mr. Pilo served as a Director at Mercuria Energy Trading where he oversaw gas, power, and metals investments in the EMEA and Latin America regions. Previously, Mr. Pilo was with First Reserve focusing on power equipment investments, and prior to that he was at Citigroup in investment banking where he participated in a number of M&A transactions, advising on some of the larger energy and utility deals in Europe.
Mr. Pilo holds a B.A. in Finance and Macroeconomics from Suffolk University.
Mr. Short is the Chief Information Officer for CCI responsible for technology globally. Before joining CCI in September 2019, Mr. Short served for ten years as the Chief Information Officer at Koch Supply and Trading in Wichita, Kansas. Previously, Mr. Short held technology leadership roles at Koch Industries in Wichita, Kansas and FedEx in Memphis, Tennessee.
Mr. Short attended the University of Mississippi and received a B.S. in Computer Science.
Mr. Atamen is CCI’s Chief Risk Officer. Prior to joining CCI in May 2008, Mr. Atamen served as Vice President of Proprietary Risk and Commodities Risk at Lehman Brothers where, since 2006, he was responsible for Lehman’s internal hedge funds and principal risk, and its global commodity proprietary and flow business. Mr. Atamen began his career at KPMG where he served within Financial Risk Management and Risk Advisory groups for clients in the investment banking and energy industries from 2003 to 2006.
Mr. Atamen earned an M.S. in Financial Engineering from Columbia University and B.S. in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia.
Mr. Dolcetti is CCI’s Chief Financial Officer and previously served as its Global Tax Director. Prior to joining CCI, Mr. Dolcetti was responsible for tax planning, advisory and compliance for all trading and investment funds at Point 72 Asset Management. Prior to that, he spent nine years at GE Capital in various tax, risk and transaction advisory roles. He began his career at Arthur Andersen as a financial statement auditor, and subsequently served as a Tax Manager in its Transaction Advisory Services Group advising investment banks and private equity firms on tax matters.
Mr. Dolcetti holds a J.D. from The George Washington University Law School, a B.S. in Accounting from Boston College and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Nicholas P. Haslett
Senior Managing Director, Global Head of Principal Investments and Chief Strategy Officer

Mr. Haslett holds commercial responsibility for CCI’s asset investments globally and oversees certain corporate functions including strategy and investor relations. Prior to joining CCI in January 2013, Mr. Haslett was with Highbridge Capital Management where he served in a variety of roles including Head of Strategy, with responsibilities including acquisitions, private investments, capital formation and firm management. Mr. Haslett covered Highbridge’s private equity investment in Louis Dreyfus Highbridge Energy (“LDHE”) and was the senior deal professional in the divestiture and management buyout which transformed LDHE into CCI under new ownership. Prior to joining Highbridge, Mr. Haslett was an investment banker at UBS in New York in the Global Power, Utilities and Renewables Group and previously in the Global Industrials Group.
Mr. Haslett attended Harvard Business School (PLDA) and Tufts University (B.S., Quantitative Economics).
Mr. Hines is CCI’s Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining CCI, Mr. Hines worked at J.P. Morgan since 1989, where he held a variety of senior level finance positions within the investment bank. From 2007-2011, he was CFO and head of business management for J.P. Morgan’s global commodities business where he played a key role in the expansion of the commodities franchise. He received his B.S. in accounting from St. John’s University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Zal S. Masani
Senior Managing Director, Head of CCI Europe, Global Head of Oil and Head of European Gas and Power

Since joining CCI in 2008 Mr. Masani has built and led commodity trading and principal asset investments businesses across multiple markets in the U.S. and Europe. Prior to CCI, Mr. Masani was an investment banker at Citigroup focused on mergers, acquisitions, and IPOs for financial institutions. He began his career in the commodity trading divisions of Enron and American Electric Power.
Mr. Masani holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin, where he serves on the Economics Advisory Committee, and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
Mr. Ruckman is Head of North American Gas & Power. Mr. Ruckman joined CCI in 2010 and in 2016 became Head of U.S. Natural Gas. Prior to CCI, Mr. Ruckman held power and gas trading roles at Barclays Capital and Lehman Brothers. Prior to his career in the energy industry he served as an Armor Officer in the United States Army which included leadership and staff assignments in both the United States and Iraq.
Mr. Ruckman holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a B.S. in Economics from the United States Military Academy.
Mr. Simpson is the Head of Global Oil Liquids. Prior to joining CCI in November 2015, he spent more than ten years at Morgan Stanley and was most recently the Global Co-Head of Distillates based out of London. Previously, he was an oil derivatives trader at RWE Trading for five years. Prior to that, he worked for Texaco in various roles including Refinery Economist and Oil Products Trader.
Mr. Simpson holds an M.Eng. in Chemical Engineering from Newcastle University.
