Natural Gas Assets

CCI invests in assets across the natural gas value chain including wells, minerals, leases, processing and gathering assets.

CCI acquired its East Texas upstream portfolio, TG Natural Resources (formerly Castleton Resources),  through multiple transactions, starting with the acquisition of Patara Oil & Gas LLC’s East Texas assets in 2014. CCI continued to build its position through the acquisition of EDF's East Texas assets in 2015, Anadarko Petroleum Corporation's Carthage upstream and midstream assets in East Texas in 2017 and Shell’s East Texas and North Louisiana assets at the end of 2019. Most recently, CCI acquired Terryville upstream assets in Northern Louisiana from subsidiaries of Range Resources Corporation.  In 2017, Tokyo Gas America Ltd. completed a 30% strategic equity investment in CCI’s upstream business. In 2019, Tokyo Gas increased that stake to 46% and in 2020 increased their stake to 70%.

As of December 2020, TG Natural Resources owns approximately 300,000 net acres and has net production of approximately 326 MMcfe per day.
